Manchester Magic sealed their place in the Play-off Final after seeing off Team Solent Kestrels 89-73 in their Play-off Semi Final and final home game of the season.
Duane Morgan led the Magic with an impressive 27 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 3 blocks filling up his stats line, missing only 2 of his 15 shots from the field (86.7%).
The Kestrels led only once in the contest, scoring the first points of the game, the Magic then found their feet and they asserted themselves on the contest to go into the first quarter break with an 8 point lead, 26-18.
The second quarter belonged to Magic Under 18 Kaiyem Cleary, who scored 12 of his 14 points in the quarter, while Duane doubled his first quarter tally taking it to 16 points and Jack Minister also made it to double figures by half time, scoring all 13 of his points on the night in the first half. The Magic went into the dressing room with a 13 point lead, 54-41.
In the third quarter it was Simon Anumba's turn to hit double figures taking his total from 6 to 13 in the quarter. Duane continued to add points to his tally adding 7 to take his total to 23 or his 27 on the night. Stefan Gill made a 3/4 court 3 point shot on the buzzer to take the score to 75-56 heading into the final period.
The final quarter saw Stefan Gill make it 5 players into double figures with 11 points to go with his 9 assists. Coach Middleton gave his bench a run out with under 5 minutes remaining in the contest; the Kestrels had other plans, upped their defence and forced the Magic to bring back their starters.
Magic will face Loughborough Student Riders in the Final after Loughborough beat Team Northumbria 75-57 in the other Semi Final in Northumbria on Sunday afternoon.
