Teams invited to register interest in Haris 2018

Organisers of the Haris Charalambous Memorial Basketball Tournament are inviting teams to register their interest for 2018.

Following the success of the 2017 tournament, won by Charnwood College Riders, a number of UK-based and international clubs have already been in touch about taking part.

The 2017 tournament featured Charnwood, England U18s, Myerscough and Manchester Magic U18s and U16s as well as teams from Belgium, Denmark and Spain.

Charnwood came out on top, beating England in the final to finish the tournament unbeaten. CB Novaschool from Malaga were third, with Magic U18s fourth.

The tournament MVP was Charnwood's Sesan Russell, while Janka Debacker, who led Elite Academy Antwerp to sixth spot, received the coach award.

The All Star 5 was made up of Michael Anumba, Arinze Emeka-Anyakwo (both Magic U18s), Alvaro Ortiz (Novaschool), Niall Harris (Charnwood) and Nathaniel Delany Powell (England).
