Manchester Magic dropped out of the National Trophy at the Semi-Final stage after a 74-91 home loss to Team Northumbria.

In a scrappy affair, it was Northumbria's superior long range shooting that did the damage, making 12 from 24 from beyond the arc, where Magic made just 4 from 23. Five of those Northumbria threes came from Atif Russell who ended the game with a colossal 37 points.

The Magic were led by Stefan Gill's 22 points and 6 assists, with support from Ryan Lewis (19 points and 6 rebounds), Michael Anumba (11 points and 6 rebounds) and Donte Gittens (8 points, 7 rebounds and 5 assists). Richard Bell had 5 points, 5 rebounds and 5 blocks on his home debut.

The Magic will look to end the losing streak against Team Solent Kestrels on Sunday 4th February at 5:00pm at the Amaechi Basketball Centre.

Manchester Mystics took an 86-68 road victory at Cardiff Met Archers on Saturday afternoon.

The Mystics were led by Lauren Thomas-Johnson's 24 points and 5 rebounds (earning her a place in the WBBL All-Star 5 for Week 15), with ample support for Georgia Jones (18 points and 8 assists), Samantha Roscoe (12 points), Dominique Allen (10 points and a place on the bench of the WBBL All-Star 5 for Week 15) and Natalie Chaloner (9 points and 8 rebounds).
