The Weekend Wrap Week 30

The Manchester Mystics lost 57-44 to Sevenoaks Suns at home on Saturday evening, the result saw the Suns crowned WBBL Championship Champions.

Both teams struggled offensively; it was the class of Cat Carr and Ta'yani Clarke from the Suns that saw the visitors to victory.

Mystics were led by Georgia Jones (13 points 6 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal) with support from Samantha Roscoe (9 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and 2 blocks), Rheanne Bailey (7 points, 3 rebounds, an assist and a steal), Dominique Allen (4 points, 5 rebounds and 2 steals) and Lauren Thomas-Johnson (2 points, 6 rebounds and an assist).

Mystics finish the WBBL regular season in 5th and will face Nottingham Wildcats away in the Play-off Quarter Finals on Saturday 5th May at 5:30pm.

The WBBL will have a new team next season with the addition of Essex Rebels (known as Essex Blades in WNBL Division 1) joining the league.

It's a massive weekend next weekend (5th/6th May) for our Magic and Mystics Juniors teams at the Junior Final Fours at the National Basketball Performance Centre, teams involved are:

Magic U18 vs Team Birmingham Elite on Saturday 5th May at 4:45pm

Mystics U18 vs Charnwood College Riders on Saturday 5th May at 2:45pm

Magic U16 vs London Greenhouse Pioneers on Saturday 5th May at 12:00noon

Magic U14 vs Brentwood Fire on Saturday 5th May at 2:45pm

Sunday 6th May: U18 Men Final / 3rd/4th Place at 4:45pm, U18 Women Final / 3rd/4th Place at 2:30pm, U16 Boys Final / 3rd/4th Place at 12:15pm, U14 Boys Final at 2:30pm / 3rd/4th Place at 10:00am

Tickets are available on the Basketball England website or on the door, Adults £5, U16/Students (NUS)/OAPs FREE, Adult Weekend Ticket £7.50
