Magic U16 70-30 Trafford U16

Magic U16 moved to 4-0 in the Premier North after victory at home to in-house rivals Trafford U16 on Thursday evening. Trafford U16 moved to 2-2 in the Premier North.

Up next for Magic U16 is a home game against City of Birmingham Rockets on Saturday 10th November at 1:00pm.

Up next for Trafford U16 is an away game against Newcastle Eagles on Saturday 10th November at 12:00noon.

Saturday 27th October

Mystics WBBL 61-65 Sevenoaks Suns

Mystics WBBL were handed their first defeat of the season by Sevenoaks Suns, who are now the only WBBL team left undefeated in the WBBL Championship, after a tense battle at home on Saturday afternoon.

Mystics were led by Evelyn Ovner (14 points, 12 rebounds, an assist and 4 steals) with support from Samantha Roscoe (18 points, 7 rebounds, 2 assists and 3 blocks), Jorjah Smith (13 points, 4 rebounds and 3 assists), Georgia Jones (8 points, 3 rebounds, 12 assists and 2 steals) and Rheanne Bailey (6 points, 2 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal).

Up next for the Mystics WBBL is an away trip in the WBBL Championship to Scotland to face Caledonia Pride on Saturday 3rd November at 4:30pm.

Sheffield Sharks 73-85 Magic U18

Magic U18 moved to 3-1 in the Premier North after a victory on the road at Sheffield Sharks on Saturday.

Up next for Magic U18 is a home game against Cheshire Wire on Sunday 11th November at 12:30pm.

Sheffield Hatters 2 69-39 Mystics 2 U16

Mystics 2 U16 moved to 1-3 in the North League after a loss on the road at Sheffield Hatters 2 on Saturday.

Up next for Mystics 2 U16 is an away game against Leicester Warriors on Saturday 10th November at 11:00am.

Derby Trailblazers 37-95 Magic U14

Magic U14 moved to 4-0 in the Premier North after a compelling victory on the road at Derby Trailblazers on Saturday.

Up next for Magic U14 is a home game against Cheshire Phoenix on Wednesday 7th November at 6:30pm, followed by a home game against Manchester Giants on Sunday 11th November at 12:30pm.

Lancashire Spinners Bury 51-55 Magic 2 U14

Magic 2 U14 moved to 2-2 in the North West 1 League after a tight victory on the road at Lancashire Spinners Bury on Saturday.

Up next for Magic 2 U14 is a home game against Oldham Eagles Black on Sunday 11th November at 12:30pm.

Magic Seniors 76-60 Reading Rockets National Cup Round 4

Magic Seniors advance to the National Cup Quarter Finals after victory against Reading Rockets at home on Sunday evening, where they will face an away trip to Essex Leopards on Sunday 18th November (TBC).

Magic were led by Josh Houghton (26 points, 3 rebounds, 4 assists and 2 blocks), with support from Andre Gayle (12 points, 4 rebounds, an assist and a steal), Kayin Dabey (8 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 2 steals), Jonathan Barnes (8 points, 3 rebounds, an assist and a block), Richard Bell (6 points, 14 rebounds and a block) and Daniel Pilkington (6 points, 8 rebounds, 6 assists and a steal).

Magic Head Coach Aurimas Verbukas commented on the win, "Going into the game we knew it wouldn’t be easy.

"We knew the strengths of Reading and I would like to take my hat off and thank all the players for executing our game plan. This win is for them and they all deserved this result.

"I'm proud of our players and how they approached this game, we were focused for most of the game, especially on defensive end where we did a good job."

Up next for the Magic Seniors is an away trip at Team Solent Kestrels on Saturday 3rd November at 8:00pm, followed by a home game against Nottingham McDonalds Hoods on Sunday at 6:30pm at the Manchester Basketball Centre, yes the game is at 6:30pm on a Sunday, this is because the team will only get back from Solent in the early hours of Sunday morning.

The game against Nottingham is the beginning of a busy period of home fixtures, with a double-header weekend starting with Barking Abbey Crusaders on Saturday 10th November at 6:30pm and Team Newcastle on Sunday 11th November at 5:00pm. The following weekend the Magic face Loughborough Riders at home on Saturday 17th November at 6:30pm and on Saturday 24th November the Magic face Thames Valley Cavaliers at home at 6:30pm.
