Magic Seniors 87-98 Reading Rockets

Magic Seniors started 2019 with a tough loss at home against Reading Rockets on Saturday afternoon to move to 1-11 in the NBL Division One Men.

Magic were led by Andre Gayle (23 points, 9 rebounds, 4 assists, 2 steals and a block) with support from Ryan Lewis (17 points, 10 rebounds and 2 assists), Loick Pouale (16 points, 9 rebounds and an assist), Jonathan Barnes (11 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks) and Daniel Pilkington (9 points, 7 rebounds, 3 assists and a steal).

Up next for the Magic is a home game against Leicester Warriors on Saturday 12th January at 6:30pm.

Newcastle Eagles 71-61 Mystics WBBL

Mystics WBBL moved 6-4 in the WBBL Championship after a disappointing loss on the road against Newcastle Eagles on Saturday afternoon.

Mystics were led by Evelyn Ovner (15 points, 9 rebounds, 2 steals and 3 blocks), with support from Rheanne Bailey (14 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists), Sam Roscoe (10 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists and 4 blocks), Julie Page (10 points, 2 rebounds, an assist and 3 steals), Georgia Jones (7 points, a rebound, 8 assists and a steal) and Jorjih Smith (5 points, 2 rebounds and 3 assists)

Magic U16 moved 9-0 in the Premier North after a convincing win at home against Cheshire Wire on Saturday afternoon, to sit in second in the table with a game in hand over leaders' City of Birmingham Rockets.

Trafford U16 106-46 Derby Trailblazers

Trafford U16 moved 7-4 in the Premier North after a dominate win at home against Derby Trailblazers on Saturday afternoon, to sit in 3rd in the table.

Magic U14 108-59 Leicester Riders

Magic U14 moved 9-1 in the Premier North after a compelling win at home against Leicester Riders on Saturday afternoon, to move them to the top of the table.

Durham Palatinates 53-54 Mystics WBBL

Mystics WBBL moved 7-4 in the WBBL Championship after a heroic come-back win on the road against Durham Palatinates on Sunday afternoon.

Mystics were led by Sam Roscoe (14 points, 6 rebounds, 3 assists, 2 steals and 4 blocks), with support from Rachel James (11 points, 5 rebounds, 4 assists and a steal), Evelyn Ovner (9 points, 14 rebounds, an assist and 2 steals), Natalie Chaloner (8 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists, 2 steals and a block), Rheanne Bailey (9 points, 5 rebounds, 2 assists and a steal) and Georgia Jones (3 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 2 steals).
