Worthing Thunder 149-91 Magic Seniors

Magic Seniors moved to 2-21 in the NBL Division One Men after a high-scoring loss on the road against Worthing Thunder on Saturday evening.

Magic were led by Richard Bell (22 points, 8 rebounds and 2 assists), Jonathan Barnes (21 points, 8 rebounds and an assist), Ryan Lewis (18 points, 2 rebounds and 9 assists), Josh Grant (12 points, 2 rebounds and an assist), Malachi Boakye-Yiadom (6 points, 3 rebound and 5 assists), Luke Gordos (5 points, a rebound and 2 assists), Ty Jordan (5 points, a rebound and an assist) and Kayin Darbey (2 points, 2 rebounds and 2 assists).

Up next for the Magic Seniors is an 'away' game against Thames Valley Cavaliers on Thursday 21st March at 8:15pm at the Manchester Basketball Centre, followed by a home game against Hemel Storm on Saturday 23rd March at 6:30pm.

Mystics WBBL 81-86 Oaklands Wolves

Mystics WBBL moved to 9-6 in the WBBL Championship after a narrow loss at home against Oaklands Wolves on Saturday evening.

Mystics were led by Julie Page (25 points, 8 rebounds and 3 assists), Evelyn Ovner (20 points, 8 rebounds, an assist and a steal), Georgia Jones (14 points, 5 rebounds, 5 assists and a steal), Rheanne Bailey (8 points, 2 rebounds, 2assists and a block), Sam Roscoe (7 points, 7 rebounds, an assist and 4 blocks), Natalie Chaloner (4 points, 3 rebounds and 2 assists), Jorjah Smith (3 points, 3 rebounds and 3 assists) and Rachel James (4 rebounds and 3 assists).

Cheshire Wire 63-81 Magic U18

Magic U18 moved to 13-2 in the Premier North after a compelling win on the road against Cheshire Wire on Saturday afternoon.

Mystics U18 56-58 Nottingham Wildcats

Mystics U18 moved 12-2 to in the North League after a heartbreaking loss at home against Nottingham Wildcats on Saturday afternoon.

Mystics U18 have now finished their league campaign in 1st-3rd place (awaiting results from other games) in the North League and have secured a place in the Play-offs, if the finish 1st/2nd they have a bye to the Quarter Finals on the weekend of Saturday 13th April/Sunday 14th April. If they finish 3rd they will face 6th seed in the South at home on the weekend of Saturday 30th March/Sunday 31st March.

Cheshire Wire 53-62 Magic U16

Magic U16 moved to 19-0 in the Premier North after a close win on the road against Cheshire Wire on Saturday afternoon.

Magic U14 127-70 Northamptonshire Titans

Magic U14 moved to 17-1 in the Premier North after a convincing wins at home against Northamptonshire Titans on Saturday afternoon.

Magic U14 have now finished their league campaign in 1st place in the Premier North and have secured a place in the Play-offs as the 1st placed seed in the Premier North, and will face the 4th seed from the North Leagues at home in the first round of the play-offs on the weekend of Saturday 30th March/Sunday 31st March. 

Manchester Giants White 64-37* Magic 3 U14

Magic 3 U14 moved to 9-12 in the North West 2 League after a rain-affected loss on the road against in-city rivals Manchester Giants White on Saturday 16th March.

Magic 3 U14 have now finished their league campaign in 5th place in the North West 2 League and miss out on a place in the Play-offs as only the top 4 teams in the North Leagues advance to the post-season.

Mystics U12 79-21 City of Leeds

Mystics U12 moved to 10-1 in the U12 Girls Northern Basketball League after a considerable win at home against City of Leeds on Saturday afternoon.

Mystics U12 finish in the top 3, which means they will enter a 3-way play-off against Sheffield Hatters and Northants Lightning at All Saints in Sheffield on Sunday 7th April to decide the champions of the U12 Girls Northern Basketball League. The bottom 3 teams (Bury Spinners, City of Leeds and Derby Trailblazers) will enter a 3-way play-off for the Plate.

Magic U18 86-73 City of Edinburgh

Magic U18 moved to 14-2 in the Premier North after a hard-fought win at home against City of Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon, to go 2-0 on the weekend.

Magic U18 have now finished their league campaign in 2nd place in the Premier North and have secured a place in the Play-offs as the 2nd placed seed in the Premier North, and will face the 3rd seed from the North Leagues at home in the first round of the play-offs on the weekend of Saturday 30th March/Sunday 31st March.  

Magic U16 80-57 City of Edinburgh

Magic U16 moved to 20-0 in the Premier North after a comfortable win at home against City of Edinburgh on Sunday afternoon, to go 2-0 on the weekend.

Magic U16 have now finished their league campaign in 1st place in the Premier North and have secured a place in the Play-offs as the 1st placed seed in the Premier North, and will face the 3rd seed from the North Leagues at home in the first round of the play-offs on the weekend of Saturday 30th March/Sunday 31st March.
