Magic and Mystics on Christmas International Duty

Manchester Magic and Mystics' Emmanuel Oyebadejo (U16), Josh Kubacki (U16), Toby Akinlade (U16), Eleni Vourliotis (U16), Saul May (U18), Malachi Boakye-Yiadom (U18) and Jade Mbam (U18) were selected to represent England, and Luke Gordos (U18) selected to represent Wales at the a new Tri-Nations Tournament at the National Basketball Performance Centre on 21st and 22nd December.

Manchester Mystics' coaches Nat Feurtado and Rheanne Bailey coached England U16 Red and England U18 White teams, while former Mystics' coach Barney Blake was the lead coach over all four of the England U16/U18 Girls teams.

Manchester Mystics' Olivia Forster and Eleni Vouliotis have been selected in the England U15 girls' squad that will take part in a tournament in the Spanish town of Medina del Campo on 28th-29th December, where they will face Spain and Portugal.

“It’s always an honour to represent your country and I hope the girls enjoy every minute,” said club chief executive Phil Gordos.

“They’ve worked really hard for opportunities like this and I’m happy they have got the recognition.

“Congratulations also to the coaches and parents. I know how much you have all put in to make this happen.”
