The club has a very successful partnership with Loreto Sixth Form College, located just 1.5 miles away from the Manchester Basketball Centre. Loreto is one of the finest academic institutions in the North West of England. It is also home to the Loreto Magic and Loreto Mystics, who compete in the EABL and WEABL respectively.

A growing number of Manchester Magic and Manchester Mystics players have studied and played basketball at Loreto, among them current Great Britain junior internationals Gina Brierley and Kaiyem Cleary as well as Michael Anumba, who was recently crowned the top male junior in the country at the prestigious Deng Camp. The Loreto Basketball Academy is also home to Arinze Emeka-Anyakwo, who was ranked seventh at Deng Camp, and rising Mystics star Chloe Andrew. Both Arinze and Chloe will be attending England training camps later this year.

The Loreto basketball programmes are run by Pete Paraskeva (boys) and Aurimas Verbukas (girls). They also head the equivalent programmes at Manchester Magic and Manchester Mystics, ensuring players are getting quality coaching at both venues. If you would like to know more about the Loreto Basketball Academy, contact us via email on info@manchestermagicandmystics.co.uk or speak to Pete or Aurimas (aka Ollie).
